Birga surprised me the week before last with gifts. Is it my birthday? Man, how I enjoyed the gifts!

Für die Wickeltasche gab’s passend zu der Windeltasche und der Feuchttüchertasche eine Tasche à la Tilda für Puder und was man noch so braucht.

For the changing bag she made congenial to the diaper bag and the moist cloths bag a bag à la Tilda for powder and what one’s also using.

Was man auf dem folgenden Foto nicht so gut sieht: Birga hat innen das Futter durchgesteppt. Auf ihrer Seite kann man das besser sehen.

What you can’t see very well on the following picture: Birga has stitched the lining inside. On her page you can see it clearly.

Dann hat sie noch einen Hasen für Linnea genäht. Der paßt farblich ja super zur Giraffe.

Then she sewed a rabbit for Linnea. It fits in terms of colour to the giraffe.

Und auch für Linnea gab’s noch ein Kopftuch. Auch wenn’s pink und rosa ist *wink zu Birga*, wird es doch bestimmt süß aussehen. Ein Foto am lebenden Objekt habe ich noch nicht geschafft…

And again for Linnea we got a headscarf. ‘Though it’s pink and rose *wave to Birga* it will be sweet. I didn’t manage to take a photo where she wears it…

I’m stuck for these 2 cards we received on the birth of our Linnea. They are already here for a while but didn’t make it to this site somehow.

Zuerst zeige ich Euch die total schöne Karte von Anja / Aoutienne. So toll. Mir gefällt das Motiv mit den Farben, daß der Name drauf ist, das Papier… *hach* Danke, liebe Anja! Ich schrieb Dir ja schon, wie sehr ich mich gefreut habe.

First I show you the really beautiful card by Anja / Aoutienne. So wonderful. I like the motive with the colours, that there’s the name on the card, the paper… *sigh* Thank you, dear Anja. I already wrote you how much I enjoyed it.

Und dann kamen Martina und Tanja noch vorbei, um die Kleine zu begutachten. Sie brachten eine richtig tolle Krabbeldecke und auch diese tolle Karte mit:

My husband made a video with material of our last vacation 2009. If you like:

I discovered a new species: a bag for moisty cloth (for babies). Is she the only one of her kind? I didn’t say any other here. And I probably won’t sew another one soon.

Schuld ist meine Hebamme. Die meinte vor einer Weile zu mir, daß sie bei einer Frau eine genähte Tasche für Feuchttücher gesehen hätte. Danke, Hebamme, man muß doch immer einen Grund haben, etwas zu nähen, oder?

It’s the fault of my midwife. Some time ago she told me that she saw a woman having a sewn bag for moisty cloth. Thank you, midwife, one needs a reason to sew something, don’t you?

Ursprünglich wollte ich eine Tasche à la TaTü-Tasche machen, aber ich wollte ein Futter sowie einen Reißverschluß unterbringen. Also habe ich zusammen mit meiner “Online-Hilfe” überlegt, wie man das machen könnte. Wir haben dann einfach das Modell “Griselda” genommen und ich habe meinen Reißverschluß untergebracht, sowie ein bißchen anders genäht (weil der Reißverschluß eigentlich etwas zu kurz ist).

Originally I wanted to make a bag à la TaTü-Bag but I wanted to add a lining and a zipper. So I considered together with my “online-help” what to do. So we just used the subjec “Griselda” and I added a zipper and sewed a little different (because actually the zipper is a little too short).

Hier war auch Mr. Auf Trenner mein bester Freund. Denn manchmal kommt ja alles anders als man denkt (man kann z.B. auch einen Ballon nähen, wenn man vor hat, eine Tasche zu nähen… Oder man näht das Futter da mit fest, wo es nicht festgenäht werden soll… geht alles…).

Here Mr. Un Ravel was my best friend again. As sometimes the things don’t turn out the way you expect (for example you can sew a balloon when you want to sew a bag… or you stitch down the lining where it’s not supposed to be stitched down… everythin possible…).

Hier an dieser Stelle nochmal ein dickes Dankeschön an meine “Online-Hilfe”, die einen Geduldsorden verliehen bekommen muß. Immerhin mußte sie etliche “wieso geht das nicht?” “Hilfe, was habe ich jetzt gemacht?” oder “Du sag mal, was muß ich machen, wenn…” aushalten… Wenigstens einer hier, der wußte, was man tut Gelacht habe ich auch viel (u.a. über den Ballon)… Schön, wenn man mit der Maßgabe rangeht, daß es nicht heute fertig werden muß, Hauptsache, es wird ÜBERHAUPT fertig

Here a big thank you to my “online-help” who needs be awarded with a decoration of patience. After all she had to maintain a lot of “why doesn’t it work?” “Help, what did I do now?” or “please tell me what to do if…”. At least one person who knew what to do. I laughed a lot ‘though (e.g. about the balloon)… That’s when you start with the intent that the object doesn’t need to be finished today but anyhow.

Die Feuchttüchtertasche ergänzt meine Windeltasche. Ich habe deshalb die gleichen Stoffe genommen. Ich mag Sets

The bag for moisty cloth adds my diaper bag. That’s why I chose the same fabric. I like sets.
