Already for a looong time I wanted to do for a dear colleague something very special. We talked once about merchandising of the St. Pauli (Soccer …) and that they’re always come up with something new. I thought of this: Tilda-make-up bag at the St. Pauli look.

Gedacht, anderen Arbeitskollegen gebeten, doch bitte beim nächsten Stadion-Besuch einen Aufnäher für mich zu kaufen und… dann kam nix… Und immer noch nix… Der anvisierte Termin (Geburtstag der lieben Kollegin) verstrich… immernoch nix… Anfang April dann endlich habe ich es geschafft: Tilda meets St. Pauli

Thought, asked other colleague to please buy at the next stadium visit a patch for me and … then there was nothing … and still nothing … The target date (birthday of the dear colleague) went by … still nothing … at the beginning of April finally I have managed to do it: Tilda meets St. Pauli

Voilà!

Endlich dank Stoffspende von Birga (die übrigens (also die Stoffspende, nicht Birga) hier auch schon länger rumlag) eine Tilda-Schminktasche mit St.-Pauli-Logo genäht.

Finally, thanks to the donation of fabric by Birga (by the way (the material donation, not Birga) was lying around here already longer, too) a Tilda-make-up bag with St. Pauli logo.

Die persönliche Übergabe klappte leider nicht, ich hätte zu gerne ihr Gesicht gesehen, deshalb brachte die gelbe Schneckenpost ihr das Präsent.

The personal delivery, unfortunately, did not work, I would have gladly seen her face, but so did the yellow snail mail bring her the gift.

Die Kollegin sagte mir, sie hätte sich sehr gefreut Und sowas hat nun wirklich kein anderer St. Pauli Fan Und wenn man gefragt wird, ob man das wirklich selbst genäht hat, dann hat man alles richtig gemacht oder?

This small toiletries bag or makeup bag is formed after the pattern of “Tildas house.” The fabrics are all by Tilda. I bought them last year on the fabric market as “Fatquarter” (that’s what it is called I believe) and finally broached them. I have some unused fabrics waiting to be used …

Diese kleine Tasche wird sich auf den Weg zu einer lieben Person machen, die mich immer wieder überrascht.

This little bag will make its way to a loving person who is often surprising me.

Das Namensschild habe ich erst nachträglich eingenäht, weil ich es beim Nähen vergessen hatte… Deshalb sind es nicht so kleine Stiche wie vielleicht sonst.

The badge I have subsequently sewn up, because I had forgotten it when sewing … Therefore, it is not as small stiches as perhaps usually.

Statt eines 20 cm Reißverschlusses habe ich einen 18er Reißverschluß benutzt (weil noch vorhanden).

Instead of a 20 cm zipper I have used a 18 one (because having it in stash).

Und bevor hier jemand fragt, ob ich meine Stempel verkauft habe: nein, sie leben noch bei mir, auch wenn sie gerade etwas Staub ansetzen…

And before anyone here asks whether I have sold my stamps: no, they still live with me, even ‘though they gather some dust …

Ich habe die Nähpackung “Tilda Santa” geschenkt bekommen, wo alles Material für einen Santa drin ist. Der junge Mann ist stattliche 65 cm groß! Es hat unheimlich viel Spaß gemacht, ihn zu nähen. Wenngleich er dem Abbild seiner selbst auf der Nähpackung nur bedingt ähnlich sieht, bin ich doch sehr stolz, diese Herausforderung bewältigt zu haben.

Der Santa hängt – wie zu erkennen – in der Küche an meinem “schwedischen” Bord und wird noch durch mehr skandinavische Dinge unterstützt werden, wenn die Zeit soweit ist (sprich: vielleicht am 1. Advent).
